The mission of Incept Gives Purpose is to contribute to the innovation and new job growth in our community by helping individuals become the best possible version of themselves. Entrepreneurs help build communities in ways such as providing jobs, conducting business locally, creating and participating in entrepreneurial networks, investing in community projects, and giving to local charities.
In the last year, Incept has made many contributions to local organizations, entrepreneurs, and community events. Below are a few highlights of how our contributions impacted local organizations and local communities over the last year:
TEDxAkron
One of our largest contributions in 2017 was to a local community event called TEDxAkron. TEDxAkron was organized in an effort to bring members of the Akron community together to discuss issues that impact the community and bring a positive change to the world beginning in Akron, Ohio. This year's event theme was 'One Day,' and included talks from speakers about how the world can be a better place for all of us in the future.
Kiva
Incept Gives Purpose is also an active contributor on Kiva.org. Kiva is an international nonprofit, founded in 2005 and based in San Francisco, with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. The Incept Gives Purpose team has lent funds to several organizations through Kiva's platform, always trying to make an impact on local Ohio businesses first, including Forest of Youth Holistic Spa, Selfie-Z LLC, Beviamo Cafe, and more.
Box of Awesome
The Incept Gives Purpose team not only helps to contribute to the local community through innovation and new job growth in our community but also wants to celebrate the people that are just doing great things.
There are awesome people, doing awesome things among us, who often go unrecognized for their action. Big or small, these acts of awesomeness should be recognized. We then send out a small gift and a hand-written card recognizing them for the work they’re doing.
